Ed seems more than happy to show him the ropes, as well as offer him genuine friendship. Stede doesn’t expect to also fall for him like a ton of bricks. Now, not only does he have to figure out how to successfully navigate his new life, but also grapple with the feelings whirling inside of him without chasing Ed away.
